This map was updated in October 2004. It now contains the locations of 136 national parks, national wildlife refuges, national monuments, forest reserves, biological reserves, protected areas, Indian reservations and wet lands. Other improvements are numbered major highways.

Use an ink-jet printer or color laser printer. Print the PDF file on regular white bond paper.

General printer settings

• Paper size: *8 1/2" x 11"
• Area of impression: maximum
• Size: 100%
• Position of impression: centered on page
• Margins: as small as possible
• Printer mode: color
• Printer quality: fast (medium quality, saves ink)

*If this size of paper is not available, you can trim the paper after printing to remove the blank area.

Color ink-jet printers are expensive to operate so we have carefully balanced the ink colors so that the ink will not saturate the paper where large areas are covered with color. The map will dry faster with less ink.
