Description: This park is crowned by two volcanoes: Orosí 1,487 m, (4,907 feet) and Cacao 1,659 m, (5,474 feet). Cloud shrouded highlands quickly give way to lowland savanna. The western watershed is the origin of the Río Tempisqui. The park contains pre-Columbian petroglyphs. The moist Caribbean side of the mountains are good for birding.
